Charlie - Must be the wind is from the South..

Really cold here this morning also (9 F)..Had to load the furnace twice in 24 hours..

28 F here lol. you can have that cold weather. Snow is great I love it really. We are going to go to town now so Blockbuster won`t charge us a late fee. I know the Ram 4x4 won`t have an issue getting around. Then I had better plow this cause it will be rain yet today. The snow is almost knee deep in places and well all that slush will be a pain when it freezes. Later Don T

Charlie, you beat me. -23F was all it got to last night/this morning. I deliver the local paper at that time of the morning. Cold is an understatment.

Don:
Ya stop at the Blarney Stone while ya were in town??

Gonna go out now and see how well a "cold soaked" 129 starts ..

As yall know I'm from the south. I read all of these postings about snow and get down right jealous. I can see where the winter preps are vital for all of you, like using 10w30 oil and so on. Down here I don't bother with most of those preps. We don't usually have to. Heck, I have grass that needs mowing when the weather breaks and the ground allows. My cubbing is limited because of messing up the lawn vs having to go out and spend a couple of hours moving snow. Our normal highs here are around 40* and the lows around freezing at this time of the year. We are having some extra cold weather with the lows at night going to 17* or so but that seems like a walk in the park compared to what yall are experiencing. I can do without the super cold temps but I would love to have some snow in which to play.

Thanks for all of the snow pics and please keep them coming. It's as close as I'm going to get and the only way I have to experience snow removal.

I hope everyone has a wonderful 2010 and comes across at least one more cub for their collection.

Does anyone know about why two dfferent sizes of teaser springs. I posted about it last nite late. On my 100, the old spring was as the same gauge as the clutch spring . The new teaser spring is way smaller. ??

Wayne:
Looking at the parts lookup, they are different.. The teaser is illustrated as shorter and also has a different part number. I'm guessing somebody made a "post production mod"

I was curious I guess more about whether there was a change in the teaser spring size over the years. Maybe to soften up the clutch grab and gve more life to the main spring and to bearing. .This old teaser looks factory . The wire dia is about 3/16. The new teaser is barely an 1/8". There is something going on ,Gotta run to town , maybe PO mod like you said??gotta run to town , get to wait for new drive line for this 100 so ive got some figureout time now. Its all apart and paint dryin now.

Wow guys its still snowing here! Had the 149 stuck so I got the 500 quad out and well even with that I was 2 hrs cleaning up the drive and another 40 min with my Snapper walk behind blower. Came in to warm up and some refreshments lol. By the way its now snowing harder than yesterday. I step into my knee and some places ,most have more than that. WHERE are all The snow pictures and plows at work lol???? later Don T

I see you also have to make a trail for your dog...I gotta do it for a small cat colony in my back yard.
Fun to watch them plod through when I haven't cut a trail yet. The young ones love to play in it.
Did I say one sleeps under the tarp on my 147...in the tool box!

Ha....It was a Balmy four Below this AM. I remember 12-15 yrs ago it was Thirty-something below at night for a week and twenty below during the day. We even had to let Our St. Bernard inside at night. Not because She couldn't handle the cold but because We needed Her warmth inside the house!

this little guy is my shop cat... hes one of my neighbors 20 or 30! not actually mine... he likes to sit on my lap while i mow or sit on a seat while i work on something... names bear, this cat isnt afraid of anything i was riding my dirtbike in the yard one day which is super loud i stopped and he jumped in my lap!

Cats and dogs are a better judge than we are of people. I have never been bit by a dog, I have been respectful and that helps.I had a Doberman dog that well when I was not around I did not have to worry about my family . Just the visitor, This Dog did not bark just roll that upper lip and snarl.Had the most visitors when I was home lol as the dog would smell you and lay down by me or the wife. Dogs, animals are great. later Don T
