Hey,

Gerry hit on something.
For the anniversary, Kraig/Charlie could post everyone's first post!
That would be neat.
That would also keep Charlie busy for a while, so he wouldn't be out getting all those deals on cubs before we can get to them!

Gerry, If I stated that the points were staying open than that is a typo...The points are brand new and work fine. Ill try your bent wire trick for top dead center and let you know my findings.

Marty, Thanks for the info. Its certainly worth a shot at this point to take the bowl off and try that out as well. Ill keep you posted.

Gerry, I have most but not all the archives. There is a gap early on where I was only saving the photos before I decided it would be a good idea to save everything. I had saved the old version of the forum from the Voyager days because it was going away. I'll see if I have your first post. Finding everyones first would be a daunting task.

Kraig,

Yes, it would be difficult to post everyone's first post.
If you did, you would still be looking for first posts this time next year!

Gerry, did it have something to do with driving a well point with a Cub Cadet?

Charlie, nope, that's Gerry. I'm just not sure if that was from his first post. I need to boot the tower PC as I have some extra archive stuff on it that isn't on the laptop I'm presently posting from.

While searching my archives this morning I came across this post:

Gerry, I know there has to be an earlier post but this is the earliest I can find in my archives, so far...:

Harry - I'm pretty sure the set up is right. I used the kit, followed instructions, double checked gauge usage instuctions. It will release fairly clean, and I can stop it, but it feels like residual drag. I lapped both the pressure and clamp plates on plate glass and don't see warpage. Is there more than one repair kit? When I got the replacement bearing the dealer asked whether the clutch had a brake on it (mine does not). Just thinking there might be more than one fiber(driven) disk thickness.
Bryan - OK-OK-OK (I just was confused) <!-/quote-!>
