I hope your hour meter can be ungooped easily cause Hydro is trying to tell you it's going to be facing into the engine compartment the way it's mounted.

I realized that this morning, on my second cup of coffee. Good thing there's people out there to keep guys like me straight!! On the up side, the Goop holds well and may provide a bit of vibration dampening.

After owning a couple and with Kendal having one now I'll be checking in here often. Thanks for starting the thread.

Eliza,, you have a April of 1974 169 and it was more than likely the first week of April that it was built..

Now post or send me some pictures to post of it

Frank - yes I'm here to try and keep you straight. I thought you realized from my message that your hour meter was backwards. Glad Jerry stated it more straight forward. Ah, but for the use of the English dictionary.

Now, did you guys see Tom H is open to trading his 13fin 169 for a 1650 or a 16hp engine? I sure hope someone can make the trade and save the 169 from being converted. If I was close to Chicago I'd be trying to work something out. My son has a 1650 he'd like to move along but you're talking 1000 miles to get there.

Say I figured I should post those pics of Thurman Swafford's "No. ONE IH Cub Cadet 169", Serial No. 506737, over on this thread so they are easily referenced. Did you notice it does have the hydraulic lift, and I believe the hour meter with the IH emblem towards the top and the hour glass emblem towards the bottom left. I am surprised I don't see the hydro valves release lever on the right side of the tunnel cover.
