I see it says the timed deck isn't recommended for the 100. Bummer, I thought about getting one and putting it on my 100 to see how it mowed.
Will the mule drive and deck off of a 127 bolt on a 100? I've never mowed with a gear drive Cubby and thought about trying out the deck that came with my 127 on the 100.
Anyway, the 127 is finally ready for snow, and we may not get anymore for the rest of the season.
And I picked up some weights the other day. Now I need to build a bracket to mount them on the rear.
I hope the Cub doesn't reject them. They came from a JD skid steer. At least the color is close.

DON - You DO Know today wouldn't be the FIRST day CC parts have been washed in a DISH WASHER.
And NO, I'm not the guilty party, but I can 100% recommend AGAINST running them in the CLOTHES WASHER. The spin cycle really screws them up!
KEITH - The 2-blade timed decks drive the right spindle and the left via the timing belt with a tiny little belt that actually is the belt tightener that turns them on/off. As long as You don't go charging into tall grass like 5" or 6" tall using all ten HP there's no reason You couldn't use one of those decks on Your 100. From what I've heard they were one of the best mowing decks IH made. I was WAY too young to care back in '63 & '64 when I was mowing with one.
Don't know for sure about Your mule drive off the 127 fitting on the 100 but I'd guess it would fit. I think Your 100 will only have punched holes where Your FRANKENSTIEN Bolts are for the back of Your quick-tach bracket. A short 1/2" bolt,nut,& washer should hold it.
And those weights are VERY similar to the 40-42# suitcase weights CC uses, Most of the ones used on CC's have to be repainted because they're green. And I know for a fact there's a CC 107 someplace painted that exact shade of yellow. And I'm INNOCENT of that too!

What tires do you have on the back of your 1250?
Photoshop should actually have the best options for saving for the web. I know my Photoshop Elemnts software can really make it a small file. There is even batch processing so you can select a group of photos and resize and select what quality you want and I believe it evens gives you the file size before you save them. That way you know how big it is before you're completely done. Resize to 600x800 pixels and medium quality should do it for you.
All in all, I just use the Windows Powertoy photo resizer. You can select a group of pics and resize in less than 3 clicks of the mouse. You can resize the originals, or create copies that are small enough for the web. Some shots have to be saved at 640 x 480 to get small enough though.

FWIW I ran a 38" timed deck on my 100 for several years with no issues whatsoever, though it was never called upon to bite more than 3" tall lawn grass at worst. Perhaps IH's concern was overdriving the little drive belt or the timed belt. I do know that there is a loud racket and sparks fly from underneath if the blades jump out of time and clash because of obstacles and/or junk!

Kraig & Paul One of the decks I'm getting was originally on a 70 and the mounts are thought to still be there just not sure of the mule drive. Was mainly wondering if anyone tried using one with a regular mule drive. I can bet the correct mule drive would be hard to come by or more than my wallet can handle at this time. I'm trying to think ahead as I'm trading my 102 with deck and blower for a 1450 lacking a deck so I'm trying to figure how I'm going to mow our yard while still looking for an affordable deck for the 1450 thats close enough to my area. Maybe I have too many balls on the court ?
Advice about the 38" timed deck. Dad traded the '63 Cub Cadet for the 70 in '65 after We broke the timing belt by hitting stuff in the yard and snapping the steel cords. That belt cost $22 back in 1964 & 1965 but today in 2009 it costs $52.30 EACH.
So like Craig says run it loose so it slips a tooth or two but doesn't snap because You don't want to replace it very often.

I bought a 42" front push blade today. Seller had the blade, wheel weights, and chains listed for sale. He said that it was what he had left over from a 1000 that he parted out.
It turns out that the weights are the 75lb cast weights with the original IH stamped bolts and the chains are apparently original 2-link chains with the IH canvas bag. Pretty cool, huh!

They are 25x10.50-12 Woolie Booger ATV tires.
They were on this tractor when I had it given to me. I was going to replace them with 23x10-12 Ag tires, but they are almost new, and besides they get great traction and still don't tear up the yard.
Thanks for the Photo info. I didn't know what size would be small enough, and it wouldn't tell me what size I was at until I got out and looked in the file directory. It was a real pain.
I really haven't messed with pictures on the computer, so my ineptness shows.

Brad...How much do those tires balloon up ? Any chance you have a rear view ? A few guys I know had those on their ATV's and they seemed to work real well. I always ran HoleShots on my Banshee, I bet they would work real well in snow.

Dennis F - OK, now you've got me thinking about using a dishwasher to clean parts bofore priming & painting - isounds like a good idea to me. Did the anonymous person who's done it before use any kind of detergent, or just a hot water wash?

Thanks, the 1450 is a work in progress. What is pictured is the last 4 months effort at putting a 30 year old tractor back in good running\ working condition.
I have learned, amd was able to accomplish every thing I've done so far from this forum.
Brendan, I will try to post another pic of the back of the tractor tomorrow. I was off work today with the flu, so I hope I can get out of the house tommorrow. BTW, Those tires do great in the snow.

Greg L., when I restored my 149 I had to rebuild the dash where the hood sits on it. I used regular bondo fiberglass repair with fiberglass mat to reinforce it. (See the pic) A little patience and maybe a few applications in case you sand too much off and it will turn out great. I got it at the local car parts store. I've also seen it at wal-mart and advance auto and autozone. Nick
Brad, I had a ton of problems with pics at first, my someone recommended "irfanview" to me. It's a quick, easy download and with 2 or 3 clicks, you have it resized and posted. Just my 2 cents.
Kraig, thanks for the pics and the info. By the way, the guy I bought my brinly plow from a few weeks ago called me today and said he had one more part he forgot...the rockshaft and the rest of the sleeve hitch...(for free)...I just bought one from CC warehouse. I guess spare parts never hurt. Nick
