...5-7 coats????? Dang, those must be light coats!

Looks nice, no mater how many coats it's wearing....

Steve,

Not real thin (light). All that paint really does shine, and has a deep look to it too! Plus it doesn't scratch off easily either.

Al V - come'on now. Salvaged from the Titanic? Pics are worth 10,000 words. Post some so we can see your unit.

Here's what one really looks like salvaged from the Titanic and after resuscitation:

Frank,
It wouldn't have so bad if I had not had to order 60 for the first go round!

This just in from Steve Shaff, photos of a barely used 42" Cast End Deck that has been in storage for the past 48 years. Nice find Steve (and Lewis P.)!

Nice find on the deck Steve. Did ya snag that from Lew? I grabbed a number 2 cart from Lew a couple years ago and it made its way to Iowa all the way from Joisey...

Josh S...I just received it today and I'm thrilled! As you can see it does have some light rust but it was never used with the accompanying 123 which was sold to the original owner in 1967. Lew P still has the tractor and the accompanying front blade. He tells me the 123 was used only a handful of times for light tasks after all this time and it still runs like a low hour machine.

Steve,
Are you going to use it or restore it and not use it?

Here is a pic of the other side.

Lew--I'm definitely NOT going to use it and I haven't made a final decision about whether to restore it. I'd prefer to leave it in its current condition as long as it continues to hold up but keeping it preserved over the long haul is my main concern.

Steve,
DON'T RESTORE IT! Yes, I'm yelling.

They are only original once. I'd leave as is. Nice find. Fastenal for shipping?

Hope all is well your way. Going to AJ's this year? Only three months away.

Josh...I tend to agree. Although I can certainly appreciate a quality restoration the original aspects of this deck make it unique and I'm thinking I'd like to keep it that way unless there is some very compelling reason not to. Shipping via Fastenal was a new experience for me...easy and pain free. I, too, am looking forward to AJ's Jamboree in May. Hope to see you there

Jeff and all...

Here is the most current 169 database we have thus far. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get this posted. I had gotten a new computer that didn't have "Office" on it to open the excel document, then once I finally got it converted into a Google doc the #&%^@ computer didn't have any resizing software.
