23x10.5-12 Tru Power's on 9" Wide Rims,,,

The side wall bulge on the 9" wide rim is just enough to keep the lugs perfectly "FLAT" on the ground when properly inflated, versus a narrower rim which creates a convex lug 2 ground contact patch / or a wider rim which creates a concave lug 2 ground contact patch,,,
I've seen the 23x10.5's on wider rims and the side wall bulge sticks out so far it looks weird/goofy,,,,

IMHO the 8.5" or 9" wide rim is perfect for the 23x10.5 ag
As far as the 100 fronts you gotta go w/ the Firestone Tri's,,,
For some reason (just my 2cents) all NF and earlier get Tri's, WF and later models get the V61's

Mike, to quote the manual: "Align the primary timing mark on crankshaft with timing mark on camshaft, Refer to figure 12-11. Press the crankshaft into rear bearing. Make sure the camshaft and crankshaft gears mesh and that the timing marks remain aligned while pressing."

From you're earlier post, Quote"OK, I'm happy now. Almost. The tab that New Bedford Mike mentioned, on this one, has a wear mark and a little piece of buildup that 1 swipe of a fingernail file would make disappear. Now: Maybe, just maybe, the timing marks I tried to show are important? :) "unquote...

I am (or was) trying to find where you showed the timing marks. Don't worry about it now.. it lost something in the translation I guess.

I agree with tri-ribs on narrow frames with the "4" inch rims, but not sure about the "6" inch rims.
Does anyone have pics of V61's on a narrow frame? Particularly a 70/100.

The Baby ags are Carlisle Super Lug for the front of the 149. Firewood runs up the Treacherous mountain logging trail get pretty scary when cubby is loaded down and front of tractor is not going where I steer!!!!! The current turfs have a LOT of "push" or straight forward, when I'm steering to prevent rollover,,,

A late "THANK YOU" for the Merry Xmas wishes - and the picture and poetry. I thoroughly enjoyed it this side of the pond (South Africa), where we enjoy a hot, summer Xmas.


Digger, I cannot believe someone actually built those 'suspended' wheels. Different tyres with lower pressure may probably achieve an even better ride.

Have 20 gallons of prop wash and 75 feet of flight line for sale.
 
Since it ain't OTF I Guess I missed out on Charlie's and Jason's discussions.

Wondering if anyone has seen one of these before. Chain sprocket seems to be attached to the wheel and has big ole draw bar on the rearend. Is this a homemade set-up? Is this to operate a saw or something? Did you jack the tractor up to run the saw? Lots of questions on something like this.

Harry must be for some rare attachment your Son found for a buzz o#*! saw or cement mixer, but, do you think it may be for a exercise bicycle or sumptin?
 
Looks like a mounted sprayer or seeder drive to me....likely home made but with skills....
