Wow! I feel so welcome! Thanks folks!

I've been trying to attach pics, but even when i get under 800x600 pixels my file size is too large. These glorious high-def android phones... I'll convert them and attach a few... Then I'll reply to everyone!

Jared M
WTH did someone do to the end of that input shaft????
It looks like it's tapered to almost a point!

Oh yea,
Hit that Enter key after each pic, that way the page doesn't go wide.

I removed the broken cam shaft and the pin that used to connect it to the transmission is gone... maybe it will show up in the spring...?

The fan was OK, like the pics, until I started removing things. It was brittle and cracked apart. I didn't think to take pics of what came off... but I will soon.

Kraig... I agree that I need to take that rear transmission plate off and give her a service of gunk removal while looking for what has gone wrong. I would have already done it if I had it out of the elements... maybe I'll buy a canopy and sled the tools out to it. If I get some pics after I drain it... do you think you guys will have more suggestions for me? I've heard these things are built stout and it's obvious when stuff is broken...

Who's Hydro Harry???

Who's Hydro Harry???

It looked perfectly machined...I thought it was made that way... um... I'm guessing my parts list is growing?

Isn't there a specialist out there that wants to sell me a refurbished transmission? I'm a mechanical guy, but I need direction.

LOL.

I have no use for the 17-year-old legend of hydro harry...

Cub Cadets are cool right? I'm not crazy to see value in this beat-up machine only a few years older than me...?
