I think a Mog has something as a repalcement for the iso mount rubbers I believe for a sway bar on a bowtie.

Thats a good thoughr Don, the 127 has always started hard in the winter. I was leaning towards the float. once I get it started it runs fine.

I have a couple questions about my QA42A (or is it a QA42B with the 5/8" pulley & curved arms, and running on my 782?). Anyway, I finally feel like I fit in, because I sheared my first Spirol pin, ever. Unfortuately, they go when you need it most. I was cleaning out my driveway after our blizzard yesterday, when it stopped throwing. Before I got it shut off, it actually pulled the driveshaft out of the sprocket. I looks like I'll get by for now by just replacing the pin. But it looks like I'll need to replace the sprocket soon, as the teeth are worn pretty bad. (I can already hear Charlie giggling about another sale!)

The needle bearings seem to be in good shape - tight fit, free turning, etc. Is there an easy way for a mechanical novice like me to know for sure if the bearings need to be replaced?

Also, the Parts Lookup lists a "Nut, 1/2-13 C-Z" Hex and a "Screw, 1/2-13 X 3 C-Z Hex-Hd Cap". I found two thin washers/shims that I assume go on either side of the sprocket, but where would a nut go? I don't see these items on the diagram.

the deck on the auction site is going to work. i had the guy measure it and its a match in all dimensions. a brand new deck pan for a 40 yr old tractor how sweet is that. as long as it doesnt go past the 200 dollar mark, im going to keep bidding on it. hopefully i will win it. the deck i have now is a rotted neglected mess

DONALD, JERRY B. - Well, sorry to say NO pic's of IH 2150 RED pushing snow today.... darned cheap Chinese camera batteries, first one lasted less than a year, this one less than six months.

Anyhow, tomorrow when I get home from my road trip I'll put a You tube video my wife took this afternoon that is kinda comical. Top portion of the drive had an inch of snow over a quarter inch of ICE. Even with chains the Super H would slide all over.

STEVE B. - Sorry, the Wife's video ends just seconds before I got the Old Girl (Super H, NOT my Wife!) up into Blunier RAMMING speed. (3rd gear) Needed to get some momentum up to get the snow off the concrete!

PAUL B. - I like your snows down around LVL. That 129? is doing a fine job pushin snow even without chains! Must be nice to push snow wearing a pair of Bibs! & short sleeve shirt! ;-)

Just got the furnace working after a little over 12 1/2 hours without it working. A brand new top of the line Lennox and because our power company didn't come out and trim the branches after having power surges last summer even though they had a work order submitted by one of the same guys that had to "fix" the same power line AFTER they cut back several limbs which should have been removed last summer.... Long story short. BECAUSE of the power company not doing their job as expected last summer the transformer and the circuit panel went out. Pat Zeroth supplied us with two more little heaters to supplement our two little ones. The warmest we got one room was 51*. It feels great finally having heat again. We kept having power surges which was wreaking havoc on things. Definintely no Cub time today. I wouldn't have been able to warm up. We had more drifting due to the high winds than actual snow fortunately. The single digit and tonight below zero temps won't help things either.

Short note on the hydro efficiency. Dennis is correct with the 80% efficiency. Sometimes slightly more. A lot of present day farm tractors are more hydro/gear than people realize. Those with the ability to sense when to run hydro and when to run mechanical are something else. What will cause a hydro to overheat sometimes is when the temperatures are on the warmer side. Farmers with the 656 Hydros and a cornpicker would have to slide the hydro lever back sooner on a warmer fall day than a cooler or cold day of picking corn. If the pump's charge and implement relief springs are shimmed too much then heat will build up a lot quicker than standard hydros. And adding a bigger engine so the hydro actually works harder instead of stalling the engine will build up the heat. If there were a simple way to add a truck transmission cooler radiator to the hydro system with a fan to pull air through it then those little hydros would work circles around the gear drives.

I'm going to sign off. Hopefully everything makes sense. I need to let Angel use the computer for a little bit.

Made some cam followers for me & a friend the other day and I was thinking about how you have,t to take the steering gear out to get the original follower out of the lever plate, The original follower has a shoulder from the threads to the tapper on the end . This shoulder will not let the original follower come out by backing it out with your screw driver ..
So when I was making the new one I cut a relief cut in this spot between the threads and the tapped part of my cam follower . now I can screw the new follower in from the outside of the lever plate & use a new nylon lock nut to lock it down with or you can use the original nut . If this works then I will not have to take the (steering wheel ) Steering gear & lever plate out to check for wear or replace my cam follower .. let me know what you guys think about the Idea

also put a notch in the frame to get to that lock nut thats hard to reach}

I would change both sprockets and the chain and well you might be shocked to see how smooth things work. I had more than a few MC in my time and I did learn that new sockets means a new chain and both sprockets to give it a good go and no problems.IF I were Dennis F I would go into a big story about how this does work. I know somethings have to be repaired as a unit.Chain not properly maintained will wear the sprockets and cause them to jump or hold teeth fast and not transfer power like they were designed to do.This is what will happen to you all, you will learn much and remember little !
