No, the wife was off and we were getting ready for xmas . She works part time and so I will start again at it in the am. I also want to get at my 1512 and install the cab and the IH single stage with speed up pulley . just to see how it will work . the 450 will be on it next winter .
Thanks for your input so far . I have to remove the gas tank and check and clean all connections and give them some Dia grease . can hurt .

wow I just reread this and the wife thing makes me think of Denny and when he says the son . Dawn is the wife lol.

Ya know, I'm getting tired of turning off the light around here. Gonna go out and say hello to my Cub then go shopping. Anyone need anything?

Im looking for the dimensions of the idler/tensioner pulley on a bb-36 snow thrower. Im just about done restoring it and cant seem to find the correct size pulley but ive done nothing but guessed. Any advice or direction would be great!! Thanks.

Jason, I don't have the dimensions however I should mention that there were two variants of the BB-36 and that idler pulley has two different part numbers. The earlier version has the engagement mechanism routed behind the grill. The later version had the engagement mechanism forward of the grill.

Jason, It's an aluminum flat pully with a bearing inside of it.

Here'a a pic of the one on my BB36 I restored a year ago.

IIRC it's a 5/8" bolt that goes through the bearing. This is the setup with the control rod in front of the grill and is mounted on an original.

Here's a pic of the front control rod.

I can get measurements on the pulley for you if Ya need 'em.
I'm sure someone can turn one on a lathe if you can fond a bearing that will work.
