Back to the parts lookup again, here's the trip style for a 127.. Note that there are THREE different frames listed for the 127, none with the upsweep at the back like the WF uses. I agree, I'd say somebody fabricated that nice looking frame for the 127.. The one in the lower left leads me to ask - did IH build early 127's w/o QA??

I have a sub frame on the blade that came with my 123 that looks like that. It's the same width all the way to the back for a NF. I thought it wasnt right but now after looking at that one I'm not so sure.

I have a 160 cub 2050037u314540 I figure out how to install the plow blade. Does the deck rack have to be removed to install it? 63-67 Is there there any drawings as to install. Any ideas would be helpful. this is my first Cub.. What a Tractor!

A 102 followed me home today it is in nice shape. It has the rubber seat. just wondering when IH stated with the rubber seat and which ones got it.

Do you have any pictures of that tractor of yours (102?) with the front AG tires that show the entire tractor? If so, could you post a few up? I'd like to see what those tires look like on the front of a 1X2-model.

I am thinking of putting my CW36 snow blower on my 147. I realize the correct one would be a QA but I don't own one. Would there be any issues other than it being a little time consuming.

I'll make the assumption when you say that the "102 was the only model with the rubber seat" that you really mean 102, 122, and 123. Are you sure that's correct and what do you base it on? I have a 124 that came from the guy who had owned it since it was about one year old and it had the rubber seat when he got it. Anything could have been changed, but I've played with Scouts long enough to know that IH could have built anything, also.

DON T. - You are correct, after about 2-3 14 oz. tubes of grease You would have grease coming out the top plastic bushing on the steering tube. But I bet it would steer nice.
I know Todd Marckel says the tapered pin repair really helps these old tired NF tractors steer nice again. (Haven't seen odd post lately!) Anyhow, let Us all know how it works for You. Both my NF's are kinda loose.

Guys I got a question on the 450 snow blower I have here I`am repairing for a friend.I`am drilling out the shear pins and want to know if they are what hold the spirals(augers) on the main shaft.Someone put heavy bolts in them and well they are rusted fast and I want to paint them. I have repainted(2 coats) on the drum and I need to finish this today. also two coats of slip plate .Thanks Don T

Since everybody else is figuring out how to put there snow removal equipment on, I'll join in. And pardon me for the noobie question, but how do I switch pto belts? Do I need to take the PTO off? The grill? Does the arm that is attached to the front of the PTO that moves it in and out detach from it easily? I spent the weekend tuning up the motor and installing a powersaver and have completely neglected putting on the thrower... and now its snowing here in Chicago. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don`t know much about the 70`s cubs but have a look and see if when you pull the pin on the rod that engages the pto and move the button ahead you might just have enuf clearance to install the belt. But you might have to remove the grill.

Oh I forgot to mention that it's a 1963 model 70. I'll check that out DTanner.

and when you do get that belt installed have fun with the blower. Its always a good idea to mark your mower belt and well all belts so there rotation stays the same next time they are used.this will help them last longer for sure, once they are seated and run they stretch that rotation and will stay on the pulleys if they are used with the same rotaion, later Don T

The 102 was the only Cub Cadet that came with the rubber seat from the factory.

The rubber seat was only used on the 102, and that is based on product information specification sheets, sales brochures, parts manuals, and some knowledge of IH built Cub Cadets. The 122, 123, 124, 125 used a seat with a "formed, fiber-glass shell with a cushion of vacuum-contoured vinyl-covered foam" that was trimed in blue welting. If you find the rubber seat on a model other than a 102, someone has changed it from what was originally supplied with the tractor. The rubber seat is also consiered by most people that have used them, to be the most un-comfortable seat that IH used.

well today is the day I will have to turn on the infloor heat in my Cub garage. we have a little snow here this am and its bbbrrrr out. I don`t want the floor to freeze and burst the pipes.I`ll set it at 66 deg and that will be it. I`am here waiting for someone to answer my post on the blower. Well out to the shop for me ... Man Monday morning isn't treating me right... Yes I installed a "point saver". I was also playing with my "power commander" on my street bike this weekend and the wires must have crossed in my brain.
