Josh O. (and anyone else interested),
Attached is the Excel form with the data I was able to collect. Ten dual tube engines were reviewed.
The conclusions I was able to derive from this small sampling of data:
-- Of the data collected, the tractors with dual tube engines ranged from Serial # 336584 to 391854; leading me to believe at least 55,270 units were produced with them.
-- Of the data collected, the dual tube engines ranged from Serial # 2061260 to 4378068; leading me to believe at least 2,316,808 dual tube engines were produced.
-- Of the data collected, 8 of the 10 engines were 14HP (K321A model) engines. 2 of the 10 engines were 12HP (K301A model) engines.
-- Of the data collected, 9 of the 10 engines had a Spec code # designated for Replacement/Universal Service Engine use. 1 of the 10 engines had a Spec code # designated for Tractor use.
-- Of the data collected, 9 of the 10 engines were produced in 1970-1971. 1 of the 10 engines was produced in 1972.

My Conclusions:
- There was much more than just a handful of these dual tube engines produced!
- The majority of these engines were intended for Replacement/Service engine use.
- The dual tube engines were manufactured for only 1-2 years.

I had fun chasing & gathering this info. I hope you find it interesting as well!
