Jason W. The guys are right. At one time or another we've all had our share of ribbing and dusted butts. It's what makes this Forum THE BEST worldwide.

Raining out this morning and today, I was gong to try and bring home an 8 x 10 shed that I bought from a good friend and co-worker. Once I get it here and then I can free up room in the garage and make some actual work space. Poor Fancy can't go outside much anymore however when he does he still loves the occasional Cub Cadet rides. But with cooler weather and some space maybe he'll be able to work part time in the garage with me.

Off Topic but,,,,,,,,,

It's hard to imagine back in the day most of us, our fathers, & grandfathers had to actually go to the store or business to make a purchase!!!

Heck the last five or so years momma has done most "ALL" of our Christmas shopping online.

I was watching discovery channel while back and many of the "Corporate" larger combines are using Autonomous Harvest System's w/ 100% gps and No Human Operaters.

So technology wise, what is in store for us next? Hmmmm?

Jason,

"NO operators" may have been a stretch...that is definitely not mainstream, even in corporate operations. GPS is definitely a HUGE player in today's farming world....but it's there WITH an operator in the cab, not stand alone.

...Way too many inputs to "watch/"feel"/"anticipate" when running a combine not to have a human decision maker in the seat.

Mr Plow -

Any "stretch" would have more than likely been my statement. Could have very well been an experimental or R&D setup. It definitely left an impression on me!

That was some time before my 149 purchase. Now that tractors seem to occupy the majority of my day to day thoughts is probably why it came back to me when I was posting about shopping online and the technology that surrounds us today.......

Makes sense though, "watch/feel/anticipate"

None of those were present when my 149 went for an operatorless ride down my steep front lawn and and crashed into son's BMW.
