Kendell, yep! A couple weeks back I also found a "brand new" spindle belt for a 42" mower deck. I have three 42" mower decks and one is in need of a new spindle belt. Needless to say, I was happy.

I also noticed on Saturday after I found the S/G Belt, a box with a bunch of belts in it. I didn't have time to dig in it, had a third load of hay bales to unload, but from a quick glance, one appeared to be a cogged belt for a QA snowthrower. I meant to have a closer look yesterday when I was there but forgot, I've been busy putting in a wildlife food plot at the back of the farm. I may have to post some photos of that process in the Sandbox. I'm still beat from unloading that hay, am I ever out of shape, to think as a kid I used to do that for fun.... what was I thinking.

I'm working on restoring my "show" plow which is an early 1 hole 8". Paul Bell told me to check on the green forum and I found that this decal is available from a sponsor on there.

But he doesn't carry this one.

Is anyone aware of this one being available? If not I may have to see if I can get this one made locally.

Todd-
I've got that exact decal on my Brinly plow!! The "EXPERT" from ND who's got a website linked on another website told me that there was never such a decal used, and was fiercely adamant about that "fact" even though I've produced pictures and literature showing otherwise.

If you find someone selling those decals email me, if you end up getting some made, email me as well.}

***Stupid question alert***
Will a QA-36/42 fit a 82 series? I know I'll have to change the pulley. It seems to me that I heard it would fit by turning the upper lift arms over.?.?

Tom-

The QA36A/42A will with a pulley change, provided they have the curved upper links.

I have a couple pictures of your dyno run, but I haven't put them on the computer yet...

Squirrel,
Talked to Mike this evening, looks like he's got some more goodies in the shed. Bubba's prob headed for the Village garage to get the chipper ready to go. It went through here about a half hour ago. So far no Cubs flyin' around.

I have an original Cub Cadet, 7hp Kohler ... it's been modified a little, nothing that can't be undone, really, but I'm wondering this: will the belt, dry-disc clutch and transaxle handle a larger engine? I'd love to equip this machine with front and rear weights, bar-cleat liquid-filled tires and a 12 to 24 hp engine if possible. I'm not looking to do tractor pulls -- just want an inexpensive little tractor with some guts that has practical value.

Is this do-able or too much of a "CC Sin" and the thing should be properly restored for running in civic-day parades?

Dean

Don T. I dug the belt guards out of the shed and took some photos for you with a ruler for dimensions. I'll email them to you tomorrow.

After I took the photos for Don I bolted the Original frame to the transmission. Wow is it ever humid out, that little bit of work and I was drenched! I sure hope this weather dries out some soon. Funny thing is we could use some rain.

Dean, hopefully Tom H. will post some photos of the custom Original Cub Cadet he built....
