Matt / Dennis:
I need a design for a "pig" that I could drag through the culvert with the 129. The amazing thing is that this little blockage manages to wet down about three acres of land (oops, today is Earth Day, I guess ALL wetlands are good today..). I see that a company that builds horizontal boring equipment for Bobcat style FELs has come up with a rotary brush (like a chimney brush on steroids) for culvert / drain tube cleaning. I don't think I could get the 129 to straddle the ditch, though (even if I came up with a front PTO driven brush...)

Matt,
I saw somewhere, I believe it was on another forum. A fellow made a PTO to run a rear mount mower from a tiller gearbox. He turned the gearbox 90 deg , took off the pulley and put a spline conversion in its place. Maybe Mike can do that.

Just bought 682 engine has been taken apart got all peices one rod broke trashed one side of block and one cylinder should I get a k17 or put a one lunger in this tractor???

Kendell-

So basically what you want is a gigantic roto-rooter attachment for your 129?

What doe the culvert fill up with? Dirt?

Matt:
yup, mostly gravel from the driveway and road, like Don sez..Actually, we've been kicking around more of the "pig" that they used to pull through sewers from manhole to manhole with cable..The trick is coming up with something that you can unstick if it jams..(cable on both ends).

Aaron S., I've been in your neck of the woods before. Last spring, I bought my 1A rototiller from a guy out there. I forget his name, but I know he was employed by ADS (fire protection, I think) and usually worked at the Summit Racing building. Either way, nice area, and I ended up with a good tiller. Nick

J.C.L., From what I've seen these little trailers are made by the same company with minor changes so they're 'different' for each store. The main problem I had was not hauling stuff, but backing up. If you look at the tongue you will see it is "C' shaped, if the trailer hangs up the tongue try to bend outwards at the sides. I put a few large hose clamps about every 8" to keep things stable. Of course you could put a chunk of 2x3 inside the channel for more support. A.

Kendell- sounds like you need a big gun gleaning kit.hummm.....a post hole digger? a 6" plastic pipe, should fill pipe inside and may not get stuck in drive culvert! Allen S- thanks for the info.i will beef up that dump cart a bit!

The cracked block on grandson's 1250 turned out to be a good thing. My search for a replacement block was successful (thanks again, Rich), and I was contacted by someone with a good running 1450, who offered me a deal I couldn't resist. I pick it up Saturday!

Of course I had to tell my bride I need parts from it for the 1250.
shhh.gif
I wonder how soon she'll notice they're both running!

The plan is to use the 14hp from the 1450 in grandson's tractor while I get the new-to-me K301 block ready to use, and check out the 1450 for any necessary repairs. (Anybody wanna wager whether the trunion needs repair?)

Do any of our gear drive experts have an answer to James' query about his 1000? I'm a hydro guy so I have no clue with regards to a 1000 "3 pin driver"???
1a_scratchhead.gif
I can only assume that James is referring to the clutch plate?

Lip, way to go on the 1450!

The culvert under my driveway is mostly filled up. I have no idea how that happened, as the rain soaks in so fast that in the 19 years that I lived here I've never seen any running or standing water in the ditch. The culvert was filled up when I moved in. BTW is this now the CC&C (Cub Cadet and Culverts) forum?

James is talking about the 3-pin clutch driver.

I am thinking the driveshaft on the 1000 is longer in regards to how it goes thru the driver than on the 70.

I am not sure if it will work or not, but I am thinking it won't...

Upgrade to a Midwest supercub 6-pin driver...

Between the 1000 and 102 the part #'s are different but thats all I can tell you. I needed a drive hub for a 301 and it showed the hub for a 171 were different part #'s but tried one just because had it, looks to be the same thing to me, it's on and fits correctly.

I'm facing the same 3-pin driver situation on a 1200. The parts numbers are different for the Quietlines. I think the newer ones are meant to flex more.

Kraig:
Seem to have hit a popular subject there..I think I'll end up with something pulled by the 129, may fool with it tomorrow...

Expert I am not by far. The diff in the 3-pin clutch driver between the earlier cubs and the quietline series seems to be the "pilot bushing" for the driveshaft. This is all I can see, in the photos from the sponsers.
Matt G., Ya out there?

The 3 pin drive plate on the left fits 800-1000-1200-1450-1650's. PN/IH-117591-C1
The one on the right fits, 102-104-106-108-122-124
126-128-70-100-71-72-73-86's. PN/IH-384652-R12
