John - yep, that be the one! The 126 is hittin the highway. Hate to see it go but gotta make room. Tried to get the boss to let me use it for a coffee table but just couldn't talk her in to it.

Terry, just tell her it's a portable nightstand. that works everytime.

Tried that too - she said it smells too much like that Cub splash on I'm always wearing.

Don-

I think if you decide to go with the manual lift your mind will be automatically changed. If you have everything go with the hydraulics but to keep it more original the electric should be there. Charlie rebuilt my electric lift a while back but it's still not installed. I'll go with that first and was thinking about using the 147 for tilling myself. Those turfs should be fine for tilling too. Remember, the tractor doesn't pull the tiller so much as the tiller pushes the tractor so ags aren't needed at all for tilling IMO.

Have you turned those seat springs around on the 147 yet?????

Harry Bursell

The tiller I have came off a 147 so I think I have three belts that fit a nf .I don`t have any NF tractors here that have hyd lift and I think it would be a bunch of work to change the 147 over to a ported pump and lift system.I do have all the parts for the lift system including the lift bar and three point system.I think the 149 would be much easier to use a tiller on with the lift system all ready installed. Time to get it all set up is running out for this year. The Carlisle four ply tires on the 147 I think I might have said 200$ and now think I was off a few $$$ on that.I need to check the lengths of the long belts I have here to see if I do Have a long belt to fit a wf tractor like the 149.

No the seat springs are still like I bought the tractor with the plastic seat .The 149 is such a nice running tractor with lost of power and no smoke.I hate to install something like a tiller on it that can`t be used for much else . to much work I think to mess with taking the tiller off after garden season.I do believe that you just can`t have one Cub ! Funny I got over a dozen and can`t make up my mind witch one will get stuck with the tiller lol.yesterday I charged up 7 batteries and today I plan to install some and see witch one runs.

The spring trip blade is the same for the "O" and later models, but the "A" frames (Frame Assembly, Main, items 10 and 16 in the parts breakdown) are different.

I am ready to put the hydro on the transmission on my project 169. Which part does the sticky side of the gasket go on and should I use a gasket sealer with the gasket? It has been many years since I put one back together. Thanks!!!

Either the

I don`t think it matters with side that you stick the gasket fast to. I think they add the sticky stuff so the gasket stays in place for installing the hydro pump.Just make sure you get the holes all line up before you stick it fast.

Don- In short, you're gonna want some kind of lift on your tiller tractor. I have the electric lift on my 147 (thanks to some help from charlie!). It is slow lift ing but it does get the job done. I had manual lift on it when I bought it but held out and made it back to electric lift. I devoted it to strictly tilling since I have too many tractors. I bet a SA would help quite a bit if you decide to go manual lift.

I don`t see a post that should not be posted ???

Here's the latest weather report for the upper Midwest. I suspect Charlie gave them his input!

Don T - geez, if you got 3 long tiller belts there has to be a good chance one of them is for a WF unit. I had thought there were only 2 lengths but checking Charlie's FAQ he shows 2 different ones for WF tractors and doesn't list any for NF. (I don't know why there would be 2 different lengths for QL tractors either but that's what his chart implies) I'd stiil be getting your 149 set up for tilling. That hydraulic lift will be a dream with the tiller.

Harry - I think I need a gage to measure the belts to tell there length. If I had two spare pulleys I could measure them I think.I got some sub frames out of storage to see what sub frame will fit the 125 . I will post a picture of the deck and sub frame so I get the correct one mounted. HELP !

The sub frames; I think the white one is for the 1512 and has a different way to mount at the back of the deck.

I did mark what I think is the 125 sub frame; but the other looks the same. Frank said that I need a pin on and I have no clue what that looks like??

I`am on a roll . here is a picture of a gear drive I bought that has no markings and I would like to know what it is ??
