Kraig,
I think it's funny now, but at the time... not so much.
Just glad it was just the bike and not with my Grand daughter sitting on it.
Some lessons are learned the very hard way.
Now a days I only approach the shop, house, or people after I throttle down and with my hand ready to grab the key if something goes wrong.

I used to work as a gunsmith, and handling guns all the time in the shop, people would get sloppy and BOOM! Luckily no one was killed, but 2 guys now have less fingers than they were born with.

Peole might think it's only a garden tractor and forget that you can get hurt or killed just as easily. Or worse yet, injure or kill somebody else.
I had a friend killed when his Garden Tractor rolled over on top of him.

Brad

Thanks guys for the tips on my 149. My car mechanic going to ask his helper to come over one of these weekends to help me make the adjustments.
I’ll look what i can over this weekend and post some pictures maybe someone will notice something missing or bent . Thanks again for all the suggestions I am going to print them out and use them to have the adjustments made.

i am happy your Grand daughter wasnt on her bike also. I do the same with the key and I do not let anyone else drive my cub since I know i have these problems that need to be fixed

ps sometimes when i hit the brake if I am in what i think is Neutral It jumps into forward so maybe this could be a linkage type communications :) problem.
I wish i could just install a T1 lol

Lisa - That does sound like a linkage problem or that bracket mentioned/pictured before. To bad you're not close enough for me to check it.

Jeff C.,
Pull your spindles apart and check the bearings good. What I have found is that the flanges that hold the bearings wear and allow the bearings to move inside of them. I have just replaced the flanges many times and 95% or more of the play is gone. I did this to 1 of my 50" decks and have used it for 6 years since without any new play and the original bearings.

Hey Ken, I thnik you lady Firefighter needs on of these.
