Ron, sadly, I've never been able to get my hands on a complete installation manual for the IH Narrow Frame spring assist. Here's some photos, a parts diagram and a cutaway view from from the installation manual that should help explain the installation. (If anyone out there happens to have a copy of the installation manual for the Narrow Frame Spring Assist that they would be willing to scan and email me or photo copy and mail to me, I'd gladly send a set of DVDs with a complete set of my scanned manuals, brochures and whatnot in exchange.

TIA)

A Narrow Frame IH Spring Assist Installation Manual has been found!

Thank you Lew!

EDIT: This is the lower resolution version from Lew. Note that Lew sent a PDF file so I had to do two screen capture to get it into jpg format for posting, thus the two images. For the higher resolution I posted above, it was also from a screen capture of a PDF file. I copied (again a two step copy) then pasted the two images together to get a single image.

Steve, I thought those were your photos. I knew the cut away photo from the manual was one you had posted.

I noticed the instructions for the spring assist says for tractors not equipped with the hydraulic unit.

Are they referring to this:

Marty G.
Case IH Irongard 901 white has been NLA for quite some time.
You gotta use the 935, unless you can find someone to mix it special for ya.
