I had a chance to buy one and all the other old used Cub Cadet parts that were on it at the honey hole I used to go to, for 75.00. It needed lights, 4 tires, I wasn't ready to deal with those star rims.
Oh did I mention the Saddle river flooded and it was under 5' of sandy dirty water during Hurricane Ivan...

I talked to the owner. It was his in-laws and they owned an IH dealership that used it for hauling Cubs & Cub Cadets for service. He was thinking it has never sat out in the rain and still has the original decking on it. I'm not sure what you mean about the star rims Lew, can you tell me more? They look like regular 4 bolt wheels to me. I'm short on storage room but I'm still thinking about going to look at it.

I would say definitely go have a look at it Oak! That's a jem (at least in my eyes). IF you decided to repaint it it would look really sharp, but I would likely try buffing it the way it is and keeping it original. Its great that its been stored inside, out of the sun. Worst case, you'd need new tires on it due to dry rot. Around here, if you got that for $500, it would be a STEAL.
I think it would look great loaded with Cubs. More pictures if you do go and look at it - or better yet, buy it! I'd be loading up that barn board shed on the left too for more Cub storage

He will take no less than $900 for it, that's why I'm asking here. I agree, if he was asking $500 it would hooked up to my truck.

$900 is still a great price for something that can outlive all of us assuming IH built it like they did everything else.
I finally found an old POS 5x8 single axle (but 15” tires) tilt, no damper for $500. It was advertised as 10’ and my son went to look at it for me. Got it home and thought, huh, that looks shorter than I thought it would be. It works pretty good hauling my 123. Except for the “slam” like IH mentioned in the literature.

I didn’t write that very clearly. I sent my son to buy it without me even seeing it. Even 2ft shorter I hadn’t seen anything within a couple hundred bucks of that price.

Nothing wrong with those rims.
You just have to know how to install and align them is all.
Pulled a three axle flat bed for years w/no issues hauling my TLB.

About 10-12 years ago or so there was one for sale on Craigslist in Fort Wayne IN. That one had no deck, and the seller advised in the ad to bring a trailer to haul it home. He had it listed for $1200, and it was sold before I saw the ad and contacted him. I saw it the day after he posted the ad. So that tells you what that trailer would be worth in the north east Indiana region of the world, back then. That's the only one I've seen, till now.
