Thanks to Paul R. from WI, I now have a 46GT deck under my diesel. I slid it under the tractor today, and I didn't even have to lift the front of the tractor to get it under there. It also lifts higher than I would have expected. It cuts GREAT...much better than a 44/50" deck. Get one if you have the chance. I've got a bagger I need to rig up on it so we can get rid of the 382H with bagger...

I have one setting in my garage that i'm going to rebuild this winter. i can't wait to see how it cuts next season.

Matt G You're happy, I'm happy ; I'd call that a Good Deal ! Good to finally meet you and a # of forum members. It was Great week working at RPRU !! Now on to Dyersville to Little G Expo... 8/1 to pickup an attachment for #2 son.

Matt, question for you on the 46gt deck. I'm currently redoing the deck and setting initial adjustments per the manual. When I adjust the front hangers to there initial setting which is about 3 threads above the jamnut, the right hanger sits lower than the left as you're sitting on the tractor. It does look like the right side of the hanger mount sits lower. Is it suppose to be like that? The hanger mount has bends in it but it looks like factory bends. I was thinking maybe because one side of the deck weighs more than the other?

I never noticed that on mine, but I think it's so that the belt can go around that left side hanger. This deck is so tall that when it is all the way up, the belt would probably rub on the subframe if that hanger was even with the right one. Does that sorta make sense?

I decided to hook the subframe to the deck and simulate the subframe being lifted by the tractor. The right side hanger arm grabbed the hanger before the left hanger arm even touched its left hanger. So I adjusted the right side hanger up to where both arms grab the hangers at the same time. The one hanger is still lower than the other but not near as much. I figure that will be a good starting point. You're correct about the belt. You can tell it would hit the hanger mount if the right side was as high as the left.
