The float lock out, or at least that is what I think the hole is for, its not supposed to be used for a blower right? Thats only for a front blade?
I'm wondering is the lift tabs are installed wrong on my rock shaft?
Not sure if someone made a new shaft for ut in past? One lift tab for deck hangers is black, other is red. There just doesn't seem to be correct amount of travel? The cylinder is moving lots, but next to no travel on lift tabs. 🤷‍♂️

This is up position if using a mower deck, but I have next to no stop adjustment on side? I'm wondering if the tabs have been installed at wrong angles?

Anyone have picture of what rock shaft and tabs look like to compare?

Your serial number will determine what style rockshaft you have, then we can go from there.

Sad part is not sure if anything was done to it before I got it? One red and one black lift tab for mower assembly? Wonder if was replaced, was it assembled correctly? One tab, closest to lift cylinder was bolted on and welded. Wonder if it has been turned and redrilled or something. Don't want to cut out unless really need to.

Well the links only go on one way, if you flipped them the the holes for the pins would not line up.
Do have pix of how the blower attaches? I know there are 3 different manuals for a 450, the one in the manuals section 772 3852, the one I have 772 3926, and 772-3926A the one at this site. All are different.

Of course there are no stickers on it to verify. Dumb question, any chance I have the lift assembly off a 451? Dont know if they are similar but yet different?

That is a 451 the black bracket and the 3 holes in the lift arms are not on a 450

Oh nice 🤦‍♂️
Soooo..... what do I need to do to make it lift properly on my 982? What is different between 450 and 451? It works, other than lifting becomes a PIA. Do I need to adjust angle of lift tabs at blower end?

You should read the manual, as for the lift arm it should be adjustable. The difference is the gear ratio on the blower.

450 and 451 take the same lift rod assembly.
