David, with regards to my photos, I believe you are thinking of engine mounting bolts not oil pan attaching bolts... The oil pan attaching bolts are specified as: 3/8-16 x 1-1/4". That's one of the "Killer Kohlers" that David Kirk built for me. It's been running perfectly fine with those bolts since November of 2008. Steve was asking about the engine mounting bolts so your specified 3/8"-16 x 2-1/4" for those would be correct. I was posting the pan info for Gary.

David the bushings exploded. So i assume mounting bolts vibrated lose. my mounts are worn were engine shook. Now the threads seem fine in motor. But i’m liking new ones . So i can keep everything tight
 
Have not worked on the tractor in months. Have to get a wire harness from charlie. 1450. Brand new. Just waiting till i can spend $200. Before i reinstall K321.

The lid i made. turned out nice. Hopefully i have done for spring
 
Radiant in the ceiling. (Propane) Tractor is at my work. Where i paint cars everyday. If you ever get a chance to buy a radiant heater that hangs on the ceiling. Buy one. Heats cement floor up very well
