    Cub Cadet Loader/Backhoe model 7205

Thx, here in CT we have seen single digit cold, not likely I'll be too motivated to work on the tractor in those temps.

    Cub Cadet Loader/Backhoe model 7205

Hello. A follow up on this issue. I received these plugs (pic above) from Amazon. They came marked/labeled as Mitsubishi glow plugs part number: 31A66-13200 (Made in Japan). I installed them and my machine fired right up! The temp was about 25 degrees. I took the time to remeasure the...

    Cub Cadet Loader/Backhoe model 7205

Yes, very pricey for sure. The NGK # is 724U which is discontinued by NGK. Explains the price gauging by this seller on Amazon.

    Cub Cadet Loader/Backhoe model 7205

Thank you, I had seen that one on Messicks last week, the electrode is 5mm. I found the correct glow plugs on Amazon, purchased one to confirm, it arrived today. Now placed an order for more. Very pricey but the correct NGK GP that measures 4mm.

    Cub Cadet Loader/Backhoe model 7205

Thx for the information. After more research I found the NGK spec plug p/n of NGK-724U but it discontinued everywhere. I found them on JEGS, placed the order and it was canceled. Thx for your link included above. Looking at the images, it appears the tip diameter is the larger (5mm) variety...

    Cub Cadet Loader/Backhoe model 7205

Thank you! I also found some on p/n: 32A66-13200 which appears to be the Cub # for my glow plugs. I made a couple of purchases, fingers crossed the electrode diameter = 4mm. I also saw some other sources on JEGS and Messicks. I went with the Cub # assuming it is OEM. Not cheap but a...

    Cub Cadet Loader/Backhoe model 7205

Hi All, continuation of my troubles here. I picked up the new NGK-6628 glow plugs Saturday. Although the boxes were all identical, one of the glow plugs was different. This different one is the only one that fits due to the electrode diameter being 4mm. The others were 5mm in diameter and...

    Cub Cadet Loader/Backhoe model 7205

Good thought, I'll need to confirm but I think I used Rotella 15W-40 last time I changed it.

Thx for the input. Yes I've read about ether and the inherent dangers. I'll be putting in the new glow plugs this weekend. Fingers crossed.

    Cub Cadet Loader/Backhoe model 7205

Also, oddly the machine had three different model # NGK plugs installed. I'm the 3rd owner of this 20+ year machine, so no idea if they may have been changed individually or not, you'd think they would be changed all 3 in one shot. Nonetheless, I have 3 NGK 6628 on order from my local NAPA...

    Cub Cadet Loader/Backhoe model 7205

Yes, I did the ohm resistance reading with the plugs out of the engine block, held in my hand.

    Cub Cadet Loader/Backhoe model 7205

Thank you. I just did a resistance reading on my glow plugs. From what I've read the resistance should be about 1 ohm. I'm getting very high readings, 220 ohms, 120 ohms and 40 ohms on each of the three. I'm going to replace them. They are NGK in the machine with the part number on the body...

    Cub Cadet Loader/Backhoe model 7205

Hi all, I have a Cub 7205 tractor with loader and backhoe. It has been working great until today. It will not start, I suspect due to the colder weather here in New England. It cranks and puffs white smoke but will not fire off. I suspect the glow plugs. I changed the fuel filter also. I...

New member and Cub Cadet 7205 backhoe owner

Hello all, Tom here from CT. Glad to be part of this community. I recently purchased a used Cub Cadet 7205 in great condition to tackle some work on my property. Any other 7205 or 7200 series users out there to share maintenance tips etc? Thx, Tom
