I was going to just drill out the existing threaded bushing to make it, but Mcmaster was on the list if that didn't work out. They are local to me, if I order early in the morning it shows up after lunch.

Now, my 127 originally came with electric lift and the mounting pin is a 3/4" post on a bracket bolted to the frame. Barely visible in this picture. My lift came with a threaded bushing. I have a picture showing that style of mount. My lift was suppose to be a narrow frame version...

Well, with the care package showing up last night I was able to reassemble my electric lift. Works nice, though I won't say it sounds brand new(motor is a bit rough), but it goes in and out without issue. I did get the clutch off the front of the motor the other day. Didn't need to build...

Aaron, Yes, there is suppose to be a pin, not a bolt. My 149 ran with a grade 5 bolt for many years, though it would break occasionally(at a bad time, like in the middle of the yard) and I would have to hunt down another bolt from the bin. I finally got a new coupler, driveshaft and pin...

Thanks Ron. When I was using a puller to get the clutch off, I saw it was going pretty far down and wondered but it still hadn't come off the bearing yet. Once it fell off, I saw what happened. Oh well, chalk it up to learning experience. I see Charlie has the springs available separate...

Well, with a package coming with electric lift parts I decided to tear into the old 12hp Kohler and freshen it up. It ran ok, but smoked and ate oil under load. Got it out of the chassis, got the head off and saw a big puddle of oil on top. Ya, it needs help. I got the PTO off the front...

Dang Charlie...if you woulda said you came to the Canton location I would have really given you grief not to meet up. I haven't been to the Fat head place here, it's new and like everything else it's likely packed and then throw in the fact that everything around the mall is under...

Interesting information. Is this at full throttle? I'm guessing you weren't bogging it down in high grass or something extreme.

I gave my 100 away about 25 yrs ago. It was very, very worn out and didn't have space/money back then to throw at it. Guess that is why I'm working on my 149/127 now.

Dennis. They are 4" spindles. The bigger table has the outriggers on it, the smaller table doesn't. They are both 30hp motor. I had one rewound a few years back(not cheap!). The large table just had some gearbox work done and I had to assist in teardown/assembly. Then found the drive...

Dennis. They are big enough for us. We have a Lehman lathe that is 40 ft between centers. I've seen pictures of ones that have catwalks over the beds they are so large. It's all relative to what you are used to I guess.

Michael, we've got two of those at my work. G&L's, one with 4x6 table and the other with 4x8 table. Done my fair share of work both on them. Even used the smaller one to rebush the front axles in my 127 and 149.

Thanks Matt and Marty. I've got the knowledge and wherewithal to fix just about any of it. Seeing I need the rock shaft and all the little parts that come with it, that is more an issue then the actuator. I do have an extra hydraulic cylinder. Makes me also think I could retrofit that...

I'm looking at getting an electric lift for my 127. I found one, but says non functional. Will it likely just need brushes? I need all the associated hardware that comes with it so I'm thinking of getting it. What's the worst that can happen?

Question of the day: Why is it the front rims seem to get ugly(rusty) before the rear? My 149 is like it, the 127 was like that before blasting/painting them. I was noticing the picture posted of the 109 and the mind started wandering.....

I haven't taken any pics. I have a horrible time getting them resized to post here. No matter how small I resize them with PAINT, it says too much data here. My old camera phone had no problems, but these new phones take such high resolution it makes it tough. Charlie downsized them the last...

Well, I got the 149 up and running yesterday. Fresh oil, got the rebuilt deck back under it, the front end all put back on, and mowed the yard. Wow, it's so quiet, steers really easy with the new thrust bearing kit(and all rebuilt front axle). Now to get the motor out of the 127 and...

Thanks for the care package Charlie. Got the oil pan back on the 149. I also rebuilt the steering box. Stripped it down, scrubbed it up and got it back together with fresh grease. I got it all adjusted, nice and smooth and minimal lash at all. I got it back in the tractor and can't wait...

Gerry, we're good. No offense. I know it is one of those things, like motor oil, car manufacturer or politics that can send people sideways real quick like. I offer my opinion and let it go at that. I enjoy the information from this site and don't want to loose that from being a...
