Can someone explain the logic try to use the Manual link listed here. Want to see stuff on the 169

Stephen, firstly welcome!! and you make a good point(s) I'm no newbie but I also get (awfully) confused.... which is not difficult. So Kraig's head was sore and he needed aspirin ... Now with some time having passed and I'm sure he feels much better and he, or others, may be able to help...

    Papa's Original

Thread the head for an oversize spark plug and get another 40 years life out of it, those oversize plugs are still around....!

    Cub cadet 105

In the video shared recently on12th May, Matt (Diesel Creek) used a self tapping or wood screw into the old leaking seal rubber part and a slide hammer extractor device to pluck out the old seals. Watch with interest (horror) esp. from about 17mins in and again esp at about the 33min mark My...

My 149 runs away into the woods!!!!

Sorry from my side,... the "Dont" should have also been deleted along with other words deleted. Its the picture(s) that speak a thousand words and leaving out a title allows all sorts of imaginations to run away with the facts for a brief moment of hilarity with our yellow fever creations.

My 149 runs away into the woods!!!!

Steven, Don't just post the picture with your best title, we will think up the most improbable title and see if you beat what Kraig's posted,..... I might add that his leads by a short (electrical) lead.... (sorry....... that was terrible) if the hat fits, wear it..... is my offer, handsome...

My 149 runs away into the woods!!!!

second prize has a new new contender, Hand-standing CC tractors after being naughty at trade-school for telling stories about the mechanics while hiding behind their fenders Alternatively testing for drive line oil seal leaks voltage regulators would have suffered somewhat nonetheless...

My 149 runs away into the woods!!!!

Welcome Marc! Now that pic is a keeper Marc and Kraig, It deserves special mention in the IH-CC annals of humorous pics. (thread to be assembled) My first attempt at a title would be: 2nd prize for using oversize weapons to create firewood in the woods. or Third prize in the spring...

    New tractor

Once the offer is accepted and the collection arranged we can then start a thread on "Barn finds or bust" or something suitably embracing. With a few pictures of before collection "as found" to entice.......Now its wait-n-see slowly,.... , dont want to spoil RidetJz 's thunder in any way, so big...

    New tractor

Kraig, its the hairstyle that dates, not the tractor........ but I must say you have the most amaising collection of stuff to brighten up the pages of this wonderful forum ... like the bonnet mounted radio with 8 transistors and 3 diodes......, what next... a coffee/soda/ beer cup holder ... is...

    100 exhaust

one part missing...... and that's a locking ring which is partially visible in the pic with the two 1" nipple pipes and a 45 deg female bend. The locking ring sits against the engine block and locks the first 1" nipple to the block. Its partially hidden under what could be a blob of welding...

A place for random photos,,,with no specific topic

I think that's one count of abuse of an AG tyre unless you can demonstrate (or spin a yarn) that the tyre came loose from a CC and ran down the hill and took out the random Moose with one bounce and thus its feet are now in the air.... or as we say "poote in die lug" which roughly translated is...

    Rear Deck Anti-Scalp Roller

When grass is high n thick, blade speed and S-L-O-W forward motion possibly lifting the deck as she struggles avoids scalping..... And then multiple narrow fresh cuts clearing the already cut grass out the way helps. As a kid it was my task to do all the lawns, found out soon enough that you...

    CLEAN Jokes

Here's my take: He got lucky with 13 reject mowers cause the grass comes out wrong side and were short of handles. Like a Storage Unit blind-buy and had to solve the Mrs'. very pointed question: "What... Honey Dear....! What are you going to do with 13 handle-less backward facing lawnmowers...

    Rear Deck Anti-Scalp Roller

What are those blades with cuts and bent up bits?.... we dont see that kind this side of the equator but if they give more lift and shedding of leaves etc, im game to try

    Cub cadet pto reverser

Thanks Kraig,.... what a stout design. Possibly two intermeshing gears set in conical bearings and shimmed to preload them I guess. Quite a casting too. The link you posted poses an interesting aspect of how similar the IH Farmall Cub gearbox is/was to the cub cadet gearbox and is that not...

looking inside a hydro of 1420

If you are careful enough to get good "Loctite" to only be on the surfaces you want to stay in place once you've replaced the bearings, that might work. also the new bearing will come as a sealed unit, in differing quality of outside seals, dont save a few cents for the trouble of an oil leak

    Mower Deck Bearings

Its important that the blades cut properly after spindle rebuilds. So start by making a punch dot mark on each spindle with a punch next to one of the bolt holes on the spindle body and adjacent to that on the mower body too so that you put the correct spindle back into exactly the same place it...

Hello Kraig and other Yellow-n-White enthusiasts, I admire the wealth of knowledge and freedom of sharing, hints and prods of advice. I hope you continue to share these pearls. A Picture speaks many a thousand words, these above are magnificent, showing the RHS steering knuckle clearly and...

    516 has been found Again!

Great, so that's one of the clues as to what an "O" is ...... and the professors are keeping the other secret signs of an "O" Top S....? What do I have to do to be let into the inner sanctum? Just asking..... dont think any O's made it across the pond to this side..... My dad bought our CC 100...
