    Joshua, I also have a 147. the front 'hinge' is just a nut and bolt on both sides. Tilting the hood up has it leaning on the front snout and puts a lit of strain on the sheet metal of the hood itself. Usually a giant hole happens, or even gets ripped out. The prev owner of mine welded a washer...

    Joe start here...in your Google or similar search engine, put in "how to make a welding table for plasma cutter". You should get about 6 or 7 sites that have suggestions/instructions for what you want to make.

    Years ago I had a Kia and in the beginning I had the dealer change oil/filter. He was bragging that they used 'official Kia filters'. They had a light brown color and stamped Kia, but held against a bright light I could read the name Pur0lator showing thru the second paint job!

    Ken, that little wire between the coil and points has been known to break inside the insulation and break the circuit. I didn't reread Matts instructions but, if you put a meter or test light on the left terminal of the coil and crank the engine you should see the meter go +12 volts to zero...
