Can anyone give me a clue on the proper wheel back spacing for a cub with 23x8.5x12 tires would be? I was looking at the different wheels I have and they go from 1" to 2" back space. I'm putting my winter tires on the 2" wheels to try and keep as much tire under the fender as possible. Any help...

Marlin, Glad to see you got the van running again. Trouble shouting on these newer cars can be a pain.

You're having a bad day when....

Marlin, Check the cap and rotor, if there is any moisture at all it will cause starting problems or not start at all. If there is alot of carbon build-up replace it also, the carbon and the moisture will creat a mis-fire.

Hi all, haven't wrote in a while but I had to tell you all what I picked up. I got a 44A from Joes Outdoor Power. Good condition, just one weld spot at a back wheel bracket. $47.00 And a 3hr round trip to get it. The blades, spindles and belt were all in good shape so on the 1250 it went. Mowed...

Tim asked; Why did you not like the spark plug over the exaust? I thought it was the best place for it.. Tim, Its not that I really have a thought either way on where the plug is, I just noticed that it started easier and ran smoother centered vs over the exhaust. I'm running really tight on...

Finally got my 1250 running. I had to wait for a carb bowl and gasket from the dealer. The bowl was JB Welded and for +/- $9 it was time for a new one. With the WH head she started better than before and ran smoother (Plug is centered to the valves instead of on top of the exhaust.) All is left...

Good evening all. Still working on my 1250, (blew the spark plug out of the head Sunday). Instead of trying a heli-coil on the head, I'm stealing the head off my other tractor (Wheel Horse). The spark plug is centered between the valves on this head, and it will lower the compression some, but...

Hello everyone, this is my first post thou I've been a member for a while. Here is my problem, Iwas adjusting the carb on my 1250 when she backfired and blew the plug out of the hole. Has anyone tried using a heli-coil on a spark plug with any success? I need to get her running, got up to 7"...
