On our 1650 the lever assembly on the hide relic lift control arm has come loose and looking at it I can't figure what locked it to the shaft looking at the parts catalog that didn't help either. Does anyone know how it is supposed to be locked to the shaft and how to fix it. ( of course it happened at a bad time when I was just finishing a run with the Rototiller and was going over a drip line and went to raise the Rototiller and nothing happened except the Rototiller gobbled up the drip line. I'm not even ordering about that one yet it's easy to fix if I can get the Rototiller going again.

Some had a 'U' shape on the end with a pinch bolt to clamp it to the rod, others (earlier) versions had a tiny Spirol coiled pin through the lever and rod and they usually broke after years of use and rust pin/.

This is the type (part #4 in the image) that replaced it once they discovered they had an issue w/the pin type lever.

Mine feels more like the earlier pin type but I could not feel a whole in the lever for the role pin to go through. This is the same arts layout that I'm looking at in my parts manual. Number 8 I guess is the bushing that goes through the side of the housing panel but I have not figured out where retaining ring number 9 is that unless it is not on my model. If the retaining role pin is gone I would think I could pull the shaft out but it only moves a little bit annoyed the other but will go round and round??don't know where to go from here?

Check to see the link between the handle and the valve body (Part No. 5) isn’t missing. It’s like a chain master link.
