UPS lost a package that was being delivered to me! I ordered a part and the person shared a copy of the address label with me, which was 100% correct. The package was shipped from NJ, went to PA, then to three different destinations here in NC. It was within a half hour of the house at this point. At the third location, they put on the tracking notes that it had the wrong street address and somehow, they changed the address (not only street address, but the entire address!!). Then they shipped the packaged to Plainfield IN and delivered it, with a Francisco signing for it. I tried contacting them about it, to notify them that they were mistaken on the street address and to catch it before it was gone. You can ONLY call an automated 800 number, there is no way to speak with anyone directly. Now I am out the package and they could care less!!!!

Was that USPS OR UPS ?

I got the message yesterday from USPS saying my package was delivered. But again no package? It was from Prime delivery. I think the post office is marking it delivered to stay in good graces with them. Luckily for me we are supposedly getting a Prime store near me, looking forward to seeing it open.

Prime (Amazon)?
Yes, got lucky my neighbor call and had my package. It was delivered @ 11:30 am then my regular lady ran on schedule about 2:30 pm? Their not very efficient running two vehicles on the same rural route.

The shippers really only listen to the sender, the receiver is not the one who has the contract.

Get the sender to initiate a trace on your lost (Misdelivered) package

I'm in the package delivery business so I have more awareness of what they don't want you to know

Get the informed delivery it will tell you when and where your package is and sometimes it will show you when it leaves a location. I had a package leave and return to one terminal three times. At least you’ll know it’s going to be late. But if it shows delivered it says to wait five days to report it missing? Something seems a little fishy? But definitely misleading!

They all ( USPS, UPS ,FEDEX ) have incompetent people working for them . A few years my wife ordered two light bulbs fur her X RAY machine from a supplier in Indiana. They sent by FedEx to Richmond, Va. The package went to FedEx hub in Memphis , TN. From there it was a world tour , in order New York , Amsterdam , Holland, Brussels , Belgium , Cologne , Germany , then back to Memphis followering the same route. Then they got it right .
Two years ago for Christmas I sent my great nephew $100 cash for Christmas . The only way you can send cash by mail insured is by Registered Mail.
From Richmond , Va to Houston, TX took only 19 days . The Pony Express would made it to Houston and back with time to spare .
Soooooo

We had 'the regular guy' for years. He knew all the nuances of our rural driveways. And put old, screwy house numbers. It seems like in the last few years, there is a new face behind the wheel everyday. Sitting on the roadside, scratching his head.

My lazy mail carrier cuts through my wet grass leaving mud tracks, and when she has to leave a package at the house, she'll put it where I could run over it. Then leaves a stack of mail anywhere inside the garage if the door is open lol.

I must be one of the lucky ones as I have no issues with them picking up and delivering packages, The USPS has the 50' rule, my driveway is 100' so he only can back in that far, The Tuesday guy does not follow that rule but never had a issue, and they both recieved a nice tip for Christmas.

We finally have a permanent carrier. Very good service and earned his Christmas bonus. Prior to him our sporadic deliveries go back to the COVID debacle. Amazon is good but unique versus UPS, I can get two packages the same day from two different drivers. Logistically it must be crazy

When I lived in OH, our USPS carrier would stand at the front porch and toss the packages. They landed at the front door over 6 feet away. I called the Post Office several times and complained. The Postmaster said I was not the only one complaining but nothing ever changed. Finally the person retired several years later.
