I just finished cutting a bunch of tough grass in the back 3 acres of my mothers house and upon cleaning up the accumulated grass on the deck and under the machine, I saw this hanging down a little. It appears to come from somewhere near the starter under the hood, but I haven't had dirty enough clothes to pull the deck off and take a very deep look under the hood. I did a search on the "Cub Cadet Parts Lookup" page and went through every "accessory" category listing, and couldn't see anything that looked like it. It doesn't appear to be electrical as far as I can see. The machine seems to start and run OK.
I just don't want to risk ruining anything.
I figured I would ask the people on this board and see if I need to do any more digging.
Thank you in advance.

Looks like the plug for your coolant heater. My 1512 has an inline heater and has a similar type plug.

Bernie,
I do have a "engine block" heater (or whatever it hooks up to) for winter time. Is that what you are referring to? If so, I will have to track the connection down to reattach it. Is it bad to run the engine without this hooked up until I track the right place to plug it back in?

Thank you for such a quick response. Anyone disagree with Bernies identification? Not doubting it, just want to make sure.

Thank you again.
