Has anyone been successful in mounting a two-stage snow thrower to a wide frame 129 or 149?

You mean like one from a later model, i.e. 364, 450, etc? It could probably be made to physically attach, but I don't think it'd work well. I would want a minimum of 16 hp for any of those, and they are also set up for a 5/8" belt, which will not work on the mechanical PTO clutches. A smaller belt will not reliably transmit the required power.

Thank you for those insights. I saw a two stage for sale recently for only$95 and it got me to wondering. I'll stay with my QA42A for now.
