Dragged an old rider Snapper home for my 83 yr old neighbor early summer . He's still tinkering on it.I Now prefer riding my Cub,instead of the one I've ridden for 38 yrs.

They are fun to tinker with.

After all they were a pioneer of rear engine riders.

When I was a kid , 50-60's, my dad's friend was a Snapper Mower dealer. Dad had a 24" push Snapper mower w/ a 6 hp B&S & lever engaged belt drive for the blade .It also had rear 20" bike style tires that made it easy to push around the yard! Our Church bought New Snapper, early 60's, rear engine rider . It had a 9 hp Wisconsin rope recoil start with a single 36" mower blade about 1/2" thick. It also had bike handle bars for the steering. The rear axle had 3 laminated tires that didn't give much flotation in soft conditions, but didn't have to worry about flat rear tires..The start of my Equipment operating career almost 50 years ago!
