Just about wrapping up my sleeve hitch fabrication project, what color should these be painted white or yellow? Or is it really just whichever I have left on the paint shelf? There seems to be some confusion on the matter in previous posts I’ve read.

Yup, Brinly white would be the most correct. Don't know how close it is to IHCC (off)white (IHCC 901, 902 or 935). I will say I've hardly ever seen them painted (federal) yellow. It really just comes down to what ever paint scheme you want to use.

Supposedly, Brinly used Ford "Wimbledon White" which crosses to AMC "Alpine White."

Thanks all for the comments. I have some IH white left over so white it is! While I don't proclaim to be the correct police I do like things to look as they were intended. I read some posts that indicated yellow and the borrowed hitch I used for my fab plan was yellow and it had wondering...
