Ok guys new to working on an 1811. Ran the tractor for 2 years without any problem. At the end of last season the pto quit mid cut. I checked and the belt was about shredded. Also noticed that when it shredded, it broke the signal wire to the PTO. Repaired the wire today and installed a new belt. Cut for about 20 minutes and It did the exact same thing (shredded belt and broke the wire at the repair spot) When I installed the new belt the tension pulley on the left (front view) was engaged and acting properly. After the PTO quit again I noticed the belt was pushed against the front guard bracket and causing chaos. Forgive me here, but would the rod to the right of the tension pulley have something to do with this?

Hi Justin,

While I also have an 1811, I cannot offer you any help on your problem. However, if you repost your question in the 'CCC and MTD Machines & Equipment' section of the forum you may get more people looking at it and able to offer suggestions. This section of the forum is for lawn tractors, your 1811 is a garden tractor. Good luck with your belt issue.
