Until battery voltage is too low to power the coil. I would guess a couple hours.
Try it and report back please.
 
At least a couple hours I should think. It doesn’t take much to excite a spark-even less if you use a ballast resistor.
 
Correction (I think):

A ballast wouldn’t necessarily make a difference. The juice is either going to ground through the points or, with a resistor, some is going to ground through the points and what isn’t is being consumed by the heat sink function of the resistor.

Experts please weigh in.
 
At one time I had charging problems due to a bad wiring harness. I had a new 300A battery. Takes about 1 1/2 hours to mow my property. A fully charged battery would start & now 3 times before I had to re-charge the battery. It maybe would have gone longer. I just didn’t want to get caught on far end of property & tractor not start.
