Lots of bad words used to describe this,
the jamb Nut will not budge. I do not want to ruin the spindle and be forced get another. The other two were tough but I got them off.
maybe more heat?

K. many of us have experienced this..A can torch is not enough usually..Worst case is cutting down side of nut with cut off wheel ,then finishing with chisel on an angle..Being careful not to damage threads too bad.If this is a bolt type it's replaceable..

Thanks Gary,
I used a oxygen/map torch. I did get it pretty hot, a new 6 point Impact should have broke it loose not round off the jamb nut. I am not sure what a bolt type is . this is from a 71's cast 42" pin on. I may leave it till next spring. I can change out the bearings and seals and sharpen without removing blade. Chopping leaves with the 149 till the snow fly's.
