getting ready to replace the gasket on the rearend of my 100 and was wondering if i am supposed to use any sealer or just the gasket? it’s the papery kind that ccspecialties sells.

The gasket is fine by itself, but some use a super think layer of RTV just in case the rear cover plate isn't good and flat.
 
Here is (an example) what should help you with less than "perfectly-flat" cover:
Permatex 82194 Ultra Grey Rigid High-Torque RTV Silicone.

Their term "Rigid" is relative though. The silicone still remains flexible when cured.

I've commented here before how great I think HYLOMAR UNIVERSAL BLUE GASKET SEALER is. It would be great on a paper gasket. Best to order it from Amazon.
