Well.... I finally got a Super Garden Tractor!

A nice 1872 followed me home today, and I couldn't be more proud. I know it's a little new for this forum, but I just thought I would share.

Anybody have any pics of the rear pto option for the super garden tractors?

Bryan B., here's an exploded view of the main parts.

Here's what the back of a 1872 would look like with the rear PTO and 3 point installed.

Bryan B., if you round up a rear PTO let me know I have scans of the installation instructions that I could send via email. The manual is 16 pages and about 4MB in size.

Good idea Bryan... after all, it is not their fault (1872's) that MTD bought them...

Thanks for the pictures. I am not going to get started on this tractor for a while, but I would really like to get a 3 pt, and pto for it. I also might change the rear end over to a cast iron one. If that is possib;e.

Hey Bryan B,
Here is another one of the pto stuff on a 982.

Ever since I drove Dan H's 2072 I've had a thing for the series. Just not the wallet

First off thanks for the photos guys. I am not sure if I will add a PTO to this tractor at this point. I do want to add a cat0 3 pt and have heard that someone maunfacures them?
Like I said earlier it will be a while before I get to this tractor. It runs great, and needs nothing, but I want to add Ag tires on the rear, the 3 pt, and some wheel weights. It does need new brake pads. Any advice on where to get these on the cheap?

Also can a person switch in a cast iron hydro rear end(out of a 129 or 1650), and take the aluminum rear end out of this tractor? Or is that worth messing with? I would assume I would use the current hydro pump in the tractor?

Might even one day build a loader for it.

I have an O.T. request, my elderly neigbor has a 1320 and needs a belt and maybe a pulley, does anyone have a link to a manual or can email me one? Thanks for your help she is in her 80's and still cuts with this thing.
