Original no spark issue

I recently bought a cub cadet original. It’s in rough shape but it’s all there with a snow plow and 3 point hitch. Pretty good deal for $150! Been trying to get it running doing the usual stuff, fresh gas cleaning the carb fixing wiring issues. I’ve got it cranking over but I’m getting no spark. Replaced the points thinking that might fix it but still nothing. I have power into and out of the coil and at the points but no spark. Any ideas?

How good is the battery, do you have at least 10 volts at the coil when cranking?
Try a different plug wire and plug.
Points gap set correctly?
Points clean ? Run a file or a piece of fine emery paper thru the contacts.
