Hello, my name is Robert Shingle, I am retired and live in north east Indianapolis. Thank you for accepting my request to join this great forum. I have been following this site and have picked up a lot of good info. You guys would probably take me out behind the wood shed if you knew how long I’ve been lurking here before joining.
I have two used Cubs, a 128 purchased in 1981 and a 1882 purchased in 2002. Pictures below.

Robert, looks like you have a custom lift setup on that 128. I'm curious how it works. And, wow, that's quite the rear weight setup.

Oh Marty - are you talking about the upper grill/head light housing that doesn't have the center divider? I don't think it's modified from the 1x8/9 series. I'll bet it's just a standard Quiet Line housing.

Thanks again for the welcomes. The hydraulic blade lift is powered by the power steering pump on the right side, vee belt on back side of motor. I originally set it up like a 1x9 factory set up and ran it that way for several years but got tired of replacing the spiral pins in the rock shaft. I bought the two cylinders and bolted them directly the blade sub frame by passing the rock shaft and lift rod. Added quick disconnects under the tractor from the lift valve for easy removal of the blade and cylinders. Comes off in about 2 minutes.
The blade angle is still manual, until I can find a place to mount another valve.
The cylinder mounted to the rock shaft is still there, so I added a spare valve under the tunnel cover for the sleeve hitch. All the mods are bolt on and only drilled a few hole in the blade sub frame to mount the cylinders. I like the factory look of the tractor and did not want to chop it up too badly.
When I bought the tractor I did not know that the head light housing was incorrect until several years later. Didn’t know that much about Cubs then. I replaced the head light filler plate with plexiglass, added stick on tinting, and pin striping to make it look original.
Snicklas, I’m in Marion County but my back yard backs up to Carroll Rd, county line between Marion and Hancock Counties...not too far from Greenfield at all.

Great looking tractors! I see tail lights on the 128, do you have lights behind the plexiglass? That would be sharp. I live in Harrison County, southern part of state

Yes the lights are behind the plexiglass That I tinted with stick on window tint. The tail lights are not the correct ones from IH, but they fit pretty well.
