9N. Built in 1939 until '41
2N built in 1942 until 1947
The famous 8N built 1948 until 1955(?)
My previous picture is 9N
This one is a 2N.
I worked on both these, this summer.

The 8N was built from July 1947 thru 1952. In 1953, Ford debuted the overhead valve engine and the NAA (Golden Jubilee).

Sounds like you've got a basket case blade there and it is sprung pretty bad!
Be a tough find just for that piece I'm afraid.
Would take a bunch of torch work and a stout vise to salvage that.
It could be done but what about the damage to the blade itself?

Part #7, in the first picture (drawbar) should already be on your Cub.
If not, that's what you need to pull a cart.

You can see where the paint is missing.
I dont have the name of the person handy but someone on here sold/sells receiver hitches that bolt on to the rear end cover. More costly that a piece of bent metal but I love mine.

That’s the drawbar you need to hitch a trailer, etc. You can probably get a used one for $20 bucks or so at a garden tractor show or from a used parts dealer.

I searched my computer files and my Cub LooseLeaf and i cannot believe i dont have a receipt or at least hand written info. I went online and im 90% sure this is the guy.
He is/was a contributor to this forum or another Cub forum.

Im sure you can pick up the simple 90 degree bent part that came with the Cub for less $ but i found this reciever hitch great as ot accepts any standard 2" things that a trailer hitch on a car can handle. pulling trailers, car carriers and my little adapter for handling some weight for snow plowing.

Blade itself looks fine but I keep looking & finding. From center to left its ground down though half of left hole. Bout a 1/4 missing overall. Plan is cut out and replace. Bending back just isn't workable. Got gas & pressure, just easier to replace. And good practice for gluing metal together
