Soak it, soak it, and soak it some more. I'd even say turn the tractor on it's side and soak it again. I've broken 2 of the plastic knobs off trying to force it off with vise grips, and a pipe wrench, even after large amounts of WD40, PB Blaster, and a little heat. Good luck
