I have swapped the batteries around between my tractors and motorcycles and generators quite a few times. So now I'm in need of a new battery for my regular use Cub Cadet. Can someone tell me what the 'correct' size or dimensions are for a battery for a Cub 106?
Thanks

The bigger (more) CCA the better.
I'd stay away from the wally world cheapos.
They have a tendency to leak acid around the posts leading to corroded terminals and wiring.
Funny you mention leaky posts. I had an Interstate battery in my Yanmar for 16 years. One day it didn't start and the battery positive post was black. Nobody here ever experienced that. I bought a new Interstate battery from Costco only to find out they are made in China. Out of three batteries bought at Costco, only one has survived...
Something else many don't realize is when a battery gets a film on top, it tends to short the battery out. Take a VOM and put the positive lead on the positive battery post and the negative lead on top of the battery and watch the reading...

We got tired of the "garden" batteries from the auto parts that had a three month warranty. Digger recommended a Mazda Miata battery which was three times as much money purchased May 2014 along with two terminal connectors and it still holds a charge even though the voltage regulator has not worked in many years. My wife charges the Miata battery every couple months...
