Need fix for my throttle/choke quadrant

I have a cub cadet 3205. The throttle/choke quadrant needs a fix. p/n 603-0586.

At any power setting less than full, it comes back to idle. Choke is fine.

It seems fairly simple to remove the quadrant. I'd like a fix for it. Anyone help?
