Before doing any restoration/rebuild.. you should familiarize yourself with the workings of the tractor. Be sure all the features are operating properly, starting, running, charging, etc... By doing this, you will become familiar with how the tractor is put together, what items go where... and some of the process: IE-- you must remove "X" before "A" can be removed... and that sort of thing. It will make the disassembly and reassembly much smoother. Start small- with things that can be done in a day or two, and expand as you get more comfortable.
Take many photographs. they will show you positions, settings, and how things are put together. If you are like me... sometimes I'll take something apart... life will get in the way- and I won't recall exactly where/how things went when I return to the project.
