can i get some proven mouse baits to put on my spring traps my mice are smart and got peanut butter of two traps without tripping?

I've had that happen too, smart little buggers. I have a small live trap now. I leave one door closed and put table scraps on that end. If you mess with them you can get them sensitive enough for a mouse to trip, caught two in one trip last week. Just have to.....ahhh....euthanize..them yourself afterwords. I have gotten 6 last week, one was huge, looked like a baby rat but I've never seen any rats here. Our pit bull is a good mouser too, he doesn't like the taste, just kills them. They have chewed holes in our dryer vent to get in. This week it's all getting replaced with metal vent pipe.

Jeff-
Two things have worked for me...

1) A kernel of dried field-corn pinched onto the trap's trigger.

2) A very small piece of fabric that's been rolled in peanut-butter. They bite into the fabric with their teeth.. "SNAP!"

That fabric idea is great, I'll try that next...

Art, big 10:4 on the fabric that is almost marketable
