Belt from engine to hydro is shredded. Have replaced it twice and shredded again in 10 to 15 minutes. Cannot see any obstructions, any suggestions about the problem?
 
My crystal ball is broken today.... you'll need to at least tell us what lawn mower we are diagnosing..
 
Verify both pulleys are straight, and no knicks, missing chunks, no bends. Also make sure they are still aligned. Make sure the engine and transaxle are still bolted securely in place, the engine doesn't move and the transmission doesn't rock. A belt shredding almost "instantly" should be something visible. THe pulleys not being aligned or damaged would be the quickest to damage the belt.... In checking the alignment, make sure the pulleys haven't slipped on the shaft..... the need to look like this: -- not _- or -_
 
What brand of belt are you using? Is it a cheap hardware store belt or a Cub Cadet belt designed for that application?

Yes, the Cub Cadet belts always last a lot longer than "hardware store" belts. And as said above , you'll need to verify alignment and that the fasteners are keeping the components secure. There have been lots of guys who discover loose or missing bolts, it does happen.
 
I got the belt from local hardware store that sells and repairs CCs. I'll have to check that.
 
It's hard to see when the deck is still on.What I have found several times is someone not seeing the belt guards that stick up beside pulleys and have put belt over the guard not between guard and pulley.Literally running the belt over a sharp edge.Sometimes it's best to remove deck to find a problem.It could simply be one of the idler/tension pulleys is locked up and not turning.Plastic ones when stopped from bad bearing just melt....shredded is the magic term here...
