After I finished the 1250, my cousin brought me his 1282 to go through. I know it’s not yellow and white but but it was handed down to him just like the 1250 was to me, so it has some sentimental value to it. Here are some picture from during the process. I know it doesn’t have a seat yet, that seems to more work to find than working on the tractor was. I must have gotten extremely lucky finding one for the 1250. Now, on to find the next one to put some lipstick on.
Sorry if the pics are out of order.

Looks very nice. I think they should have been red from the beginning. I see older models painted red or red/white and they look so much better. I guess I'm not a huge fan of yellow.
Not many options for seats. Expect to spend 125.00 for one that looks good.

Chris - you need to really protect that seat on your 1250. I think that style (with the 6 panels) was last used on new tractors in about 1991. NOS ones used to come up until about 10 years ago. Now you just don't see them, and if you do happen across one I'd expect it to be about $250.

 Looks good. I actually didn't realize the 1282's had external brakes on them until now! We all like "original" paint on stuff, but man it does look nice when fresh glossy red is laid down on metal.
Nice job. Hope you have another tractor in the works once you get your seat issue sorted out.

It's a shame nobody makes a nice 6 panel seat. Oh well, just need to keep searching!
