Well, its come time for me to go back to work, Monday February 14. I've been off for the last month recovering from open heart surgery to repair some electrical signaling problems with my heart (atrial fibrillation). My wife snapped a picture on my way out of surgery.

I probably won't be able to keep as close a tab on the forums as I've been able to do during my recovery. But let me say that the IH Cub Cadet Forum has been a lifesaver for me. It gave me something to do the whole time, every two hours or so I had to get online to check to see what had been posted.

I also took the opportunity to think through (some might say over-think) the changes I planned for my red CCC 782. I hope to have the front axle repaired soon and I plan to post my "refurbishment" in the "Refurbishment & Restorations ONLY" forum.

Again, everyone has been great, you've given me a "home away from home" so-to-speak where I could indulge my fantasies, memories, and experiences; express my thoughts and feelings and generally "hang out." I feel I am part of fraternity, one of the gang. Simply because I chose to keep and repair a representive example of the best garden tractor the world has ever seen -- The International Harvester Cub Cadet.

Thanks guys. Till my next post, keep oil warm and the spark plugs dry. Cub Cadet power forever!

Jeremiah C. FANTASTIC news that you're sharing with us. Good to hear that you will be going back to work. Angel and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Found out this morning that I'll be having a lot more free time in the immediate future.

I was terminated this morning at 8:30 AM.

There is more to the story than I can tell, but suffice to say that the longer one stays in an organization, the more one learns about the personalities involved (and they learn about you), and less one is willing to be manipulated.

I'm hoping for a better future.

Jeremiah, maybe I've watched too much "Sound of Music', but I recall something on the order of 'When the Lord closes a window in one place, He opens a door somewhere else'. Lets wait and see what that door has to offer.

Allen: Those who know the most about the situation have told me that I will be better off. I want to believe I will, too. Right now there is just a lot of "stuff" to process.

I wasn't shocked by the dismissal, more disappointed, really.

I have a cousin who counseled his sister (he is a psychiatrist), when you get up in the morning pray, "Whatever . . ." and when you go to bed at night pray, " . . . Oh Well."

So I'm trying to pray, " . . . Oh Well" to close the door on what has been; and pray "Whatever . . ." to open the door on what is to come.

Thank you for your thoughts. God bless you both (Kraig and Allen).

Jeremiah, My heart sank when I read your post. I pray something comes up for you.

Jeremiah i know how you feel. I was in a work situation after 35 years with the company. I wouldn't play political so they tried to get me to quit. It all worked out and it will for you to. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Jeremiah ,so sorry about your job. Just remember God doesnt give us anymore at one time than we can handle. I also feel he does things for a reason...he just simply needs you someplace else. You will be in thoughts an prayers to find a new job.

Also, seeing your picture in the hospital bed reminds me of my health. I was diagnosed last year with congestive heart failure,an the first of the year they diagnosed me with Dysautonomia/POTS,Mast cell activation disorder, and Neurocardiogeninc syncope.Basically ,my autonomic nervous system doesnt work like it should anymore because of the nerve gas we encountered during Dessert Storm 20 years ago. The Autonomic nervous system controls your bodies blood PSI,Heart rate, body temperature, and controls all of your bodies organs.Because of this my body dehydrates often which sends me to the ER for IV fluids.I have some good days an some bad,but im praying for a cure as of now there is no cure for what I have. So ive not worked at all anymore because doctors told me if I do I may not live very long,so im medically retired. Now I take care of the home an tinker with projects from time to time, except when its too hot,my body doesnt like the heat at all

Jeremiah C. Angel and I shall be definitely holding you in our prayers and thoughts. Amy and the others have summed it up with that God has other plans for you and that you are needed elsewhere to help guide others. Where you previously worked has now lost an excellent person. Blessings sometimes come in disguised packages. There are a lot of great people prayring for you to find a better career.

Amy K. We'll be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers also.

Ty Marlin....prayers are always appreciated

Jeremiah sorry to hear about your job and as everyone says the Lord will open something for you,,,, BTDT I will lift you up in prayer..

Thanks for all the responses, guys and gals. It is good to know that someone cares at times like this.

Luther: 35 years-- really? If you can get through the transition OK, then so can I. (I don't imagine they offered you a gold watch, did they?)

Jeremiah...dont you know the old joke?
When you start with a company they give you a watch case...
In the following years they give you the works !

Sounds like that has happened recently.

Well it looks like Jeremiah is going back to work! I've been offered a position in the Maintenance Dept of a major turkey processor. Fifty miles on country two-lane roads from my house, but they're making it worth my while. I'll be working second-shift so I can keep Harry Bursell company on the West Coast.

That's great news Jeremiah. Hope it works out well for you.
