They have been discussed here by folks more knowledgeable on them than I am. I have a Mighty Mac made by the same mfg, and it is great compared to the MTD ones I have worn out in the past. I am very jealous of the tractor mount feature, as mine is heavy to move around. Do a bit of searching, and you should be able to find several excellent threads on them.

Not easily installed and/or removed IF you do not have a dedicated Cub to mount it on and operate it. Be prepared to run WOT as well.
I do not recommend use on a gear drive unit for safety reasons.
They are HEAVY and hard to steer once installed.
Make sure you get all the grates, there are several.
AS well as all parts to mount on your Cub, belt, jackshaft and springs if yours is the early style.

Ear and face protection HIGHLY recommended as well.
They have tendency to spit a lot of crap back out the top.
Great for small trigs and sticks.
Not so much for leaves as they have a tendency to bunch up in the chute unless fed SLOWLY. Will turn a mountain of leaves into a wheelbarrow full, that is IF you have the time and patience!

Jim, it was Charlie aka Digger, that has posted several times about using his QA36A to throw walnuts. This was back before he moved North and his neighbor had walnut trees that dropped onto his property, he used the QA36A to toss them back across the property line.

Mount the feed chute opposite of the discharge.
Never have understood why anyone would want to stand right where all the chewed up bits are discharged, but I see a lot of them that are configured that way for some reason.
Probably shipped that way to take up less room would be my guess.
