I'm in the final stages of an engine rebuild on my 1450 with Kohler 321 engine. Also using the opportunity to paint a lot of the frame since it's easy to get to. I've got one leftover bracket that I have not been able to link up with its home. See photo. Does anyone recognize it and where it goes?

Yes, That goes on the coil side of the head, under the head bolt and hangs down beside the head to bolt the tins to.

Thank you. That makes sense. Now just have to remove coil and a few other things to be able to put it on.

See also Kohler owner's and service manuals. Might be the throttle stop? (disassembly picture, but shown just above oil dipstick on my 149. The throttle cable goes into the hole in the pin at the end of the spring from the governor lever; the out-of-frame end of the governor lever connects to the throttle shaft on the carburettor.

Could be. I would have to go look. I the Quietlines have a different carb linkage setup, and I don’t remember if there is one of these on there. It’s been awhile since I have messed with that area of the engine.
